The Pet Rescue Resource is an online toolkit for shelters and rescues, and includes articles, training plans and videos designed to support staff and volunteers working with animals in shelters and foster homes. This Resource is a product of the Pet Professional Guild’s (PPG) Shelter & Rescue Committee and adheres to PPG’s mission of providing the greatest value and highest-quality, state-of-the-art, force-free, science-based training and care for companion animals. 

 

The purpose of the Pet Rescue Resource is to improve the prospects of pets in shelter or rescue by improving adoption and retention rates. It is designed for implementation by handlers with or without behavior modification experience, and with the greatest possible efficiency to minimize additional work for busy staff and volunteers in under-resourced organizations.
